Jesus coffee ring

This is a specially designed coffee cup that has on the base of it an image of Jesus. When placed down on a table, or indeed a piece of paper, the coffee ring left behind reveals the face of our lord. You could set up a little cottage industry selling an endless supply of miracle coffee rings on ebay

I thought that I'd thought that this was a good idea before...and I was right! Prior art (although more generalised). Sadly, I think this idea should be [marked-for-deletion] redundant. [DrBob, Feb 23 2012]

Or 'bless' others with the wealth by bringing it to coffee shops and leaving rings on other patrons' napkins.

"Well would you look at that, two or three more of these espressos and I should be able to pass through the eye of a needle at forty paces."

Cheapskate. You'd get to heaven faster if you ordered something more expensive.

Then the market is glutted, the novelty fades and nobody cares anymore. Announcing another coffee ring shaped like (insert something famous here, Elvis, Jesus, the arc-and-compass, etc) will be met with the same ho-hum attitude people face when they claim they saw aliens.

Which is great! If I see one more news article about the image of the virgin Mary baked into a cookie I'm going to start setting fire to things. I can't wait for the whole mess to descend to the same level as alien sightings.

       Bun.

People see aliens all the time, and people see the face of Jesus all the time. But notice that nobody ever sees the faces of an alien Jesus? He must be hiding...

[simonj] - sorry - I'm with [DrBob] on this one.

There is a prior idea here that is substantially the same ie coffee cups that leave image stains.

I don't see any refernce to jesus in Dr Bob's link...the purpose is to make jesus faces (that look random/natural) and all that entails.
simonj, Feb 25 2012

The side of the mug should have an image of the Virgin Mary's face, with tiny holes at the eyes that dribble little tears of coffee.
