Kick switch from fixed gear to freewheel | |
The Kixi has a front chain ring can be switched from fixed (crank and chain are always turning when the bike is moving) to freewheel (chainring can spin even when you're not pedaling). To switch between fixed and freewheel mode, the rider uses their heel to kick a button placed on either side of
the crank axle, similar to how you shift gears with a Schlumpf Drive.
Gives the advantages of a flip-flop hub, without having remove the rear wheel when you want to change modes.
