This idea is but meagerly innovative, but bear with me. You are all familiar with the ice cream sandwich. This is a variation. Picture thin rounds of waffle-cone material, about four inches in diameter. Layer these and ice cream, somewhat like a Dagwood sandwich. Syrups may also be employed. Flavors may be mixed. Crunchy, tasty, simple. It should be made fresh to ensure the integrity of the waffle's crunch. Further, the waffle material should not have holes, for obvious reasons.

If they made these scone-shaped, completely enclosed surrounding the ice cream, and threw some chocolate syrup in the middle, I would be addicted.

These sound delish! It's a good thing they are a fantasy or I would resemble Bluto from "Popeye!"

Lighthouse Creamery in Ocean Beach, CA (San Diego) features waffle ice cream sandwiches. A scope of icecream (usually vanilla) is sandwiched between two small pre-made waffles (can be ordered from Der Waffle Maker or Schwanns). The sandwich is placed in a sandwich grill for 20-30 seconds to heat the waffles. Yum!!!
