Mic Drop Mat

reduces wear and tear on audio equipment
  [vote for,

This discreet, lightweight rubber mat is available in a range of colours, to blend into the different surfaces on which a prospective mic- dropper is likely to stand.

It contains impact sensors which convey to the sound desk a fake mic-drop sound, so as not to cause disappointment.

[+] But I would like the impact sensors to trigger a brief announcement over the PA system "Hey don't do that, it damages the equipment and makes you look stupid!"

It should make a deeper sound based on drop force or possibly time lapse from last note.

I'd like to see more variations on this theme.
