       So it's a camera view with a zoom function then. The RV model is exactly what I thought of when reading this. Add the zoom and you're all set.

       I like that. When we travel in an unfamiliar city, my wife often drives while I use binoculars to spot offramps and street signs farther ahead. Using the binoculars makes her sick so she has to drive. A roof-cam with image stabilization could help in that regard. Still, someone other than the driver should probably operate it.
