Old and sick folks often have a lot of capsules to gulp down, a process that can be both arduous and time consuming. If each capsule had a built-in snap on each end, the medicine and vitamins could be snapped together into an open pill necklace that would help pull itself down the gullet, siphon style.

       [bun] This reminds me of a sweet that there used to be... [linky] A little like Refreshers, but on an elasticated string, which were worn around the neck.   

       They could be Colour and Flavour coated to help ensure the correct dosage.
