A toaster is fitted with a hopper for powdered oak granules, and a feed mechanism. As toasting is underway, an archimedes' screw raises the dust to allow it to sprinkle in fine streams onto the red hot element.
A sensor detects when the element has cooled, and passes a small brush back and forth
a few times to clear any ash.
