Redundant illustration links

Host extra copies of other people's illustrations

Assuming someone does initially get an illustration linked up, a generous halfbaker would then save a copy and host it on their own site (or wherever they do that kind of thing), posting a backup link under the original.

If you see that one of the links has gone sour, flag it and post a duplicate from the working copy.

       most people that do illustrations put them somewhere fairly safe in the first place, with a local backup. I'm not convinced that the utility of redundant links would overcome their ugliness.

       I put mine in a manilla folder and then lose track of the folder. They turn up from time-to-time.

       Yes, it is basically a let's all. It only applies to the halfbakery though, and really need not involve more than a handful of halfbakers, so I thought it might slip by.
