A rubber mallet when struck over your own or another person's head turns off the lights in the room.

This idea is for different ways to turn off the lights. Each would be connected to the elctrical system by wiring, or wireless connections. Obviously rubber mallet is the most playful of light putting out methods.

What, no "punching" his lights out?

If you used a metal mallet, any person struck on the head would experience the lights going out, whilst for everyone else, they would remain on. This sort of duality is always of interest to me. Croissant awarded for making me think of it.

If the connectivity between hammer and switch was rapid enough, drummers could induce seizures. It needn't be a hammer, it could for example be a tennis ball like the novelty alarm clocks of yore.

If one were to strike for the groin with the mallet, would this make the lights go brighter?
