Stoplight hidden cameras

Appears as a stoplight but is actually a camera

So one day you are walking along and a mugger comes up to you and attacks you and a stoplight camera sees and records the video to find out who mugged you. It is sort of like a street camera but people notice those easily so this would be helpful.

It is a round camera that fits in a stoplight and the red, green, or red light still shines through.

Erm often UK law requires the person to realise they are being filmed for the evidence to be admissable in court.

And you are asking for more surveillance from the state?.

[-] London is supposedly the most watched city in the world, with respect to "surveillance" cameras. You can't take a p*** without someone knowing what your diet consists of.

And in all fairness, for the amount of privacy the general public are going to compromise, how many 'filmed' criminals will actually be caught?

       My guess is, not alot.

Stop me if we've done this during my absence, but how about a Camera That Gets Angry When It Sees Something Being Stolen?
