This app consults current and historical public official databases, verifiably accurate regulations and rulings, and available receipts and invoices to estimate the upcharges of the ever-changing tariffs levied on imports.
When you view an item that can be analyzed the app displays +XX.xx in a small
pop-up panel along with links to the source data.
In addition to physical item upcharges, services which are dependent on heavily tariffed items, like ocean cruises, recreational tourism, medical procedures, and public transportation will be analyzed and the upcharges reported whenever possible.

It needs a chart showing which countries tariffs contributed how much of the cost. Imagine a radio with circuit boards made in China using Taiwanese chips assembled in Mexico with a plastic case from India all made from an American design with American process by a company officially based in Ireland. I agree. That's more information than Congress has right now. Or just about anyone else, really. We DO need an app for that. Or Congress does. Wasn't the OMB supposed to handle that? Anybody there? |
