Subtitle: One person's journey through the Age Of Ascension.

Put a human face on this amazing period in history.

First scene describes the place she was born, her parents and the town etc but quickly zeros in on what the state of technology at that time, then chronicles the technological achievements of the next hundred plus years using her birthdays as markers, sort of a human element yard stick to give it some perspective. "She was born in a world without bicycles and rode a jet airliner on her 73rd birthday, watched man walk on the moon on her television on her 88th birthday etc.

(sample scene with Martelle narrating) "I just turned 65, we all went out and looked up in the sky, and after a few minutes, there it was. It looked like the rest of the stars up there, except this one was moving very fast. We gasped and how quickly it flew overhead. "God damned Russians!" Bob said. "How the hell did this happen?" (Narrator) "The way it happened was this. In 1955, the father of the Russian space program, Sergei Pavlovich Korolev announced the Sputnik program..." Then it covers that invention.

In addition the inventions in the below link that would be covered, there would also be exploration of the invention of movies, Coca-Cola, the original Macintosh computer, VHS video recorder, the video game, and communication satellites.

I'm using Martel Murphy as a place holder, I'd want the person who lived in this period whose life was the most well documented.

It would also be a sort of and oblique celebration of an average person. I like average people being one myself. They should be celebrated more. But mainly we'd put ourselves in her place and through first person descriptions of these inventions and the changes they brought, better appreciate these incredible milestones that people actually experienced through their eyes.

It just hit me, picture the movie Forrest Gump only as a technology documentary but with a real person as the protagonist. Dialog could be gleaned from different people, there would be a note at the beginning saying this was a dramatization but it would be based on reality.

She doesn't have to say profound or Earth shattering things about these events, just what real people said. "I remember thinking what will we do with all this free time now that we have this washing machine. I knew I'd figure out something, as I watched the clothes splash around and around in the foamy water."

Think I'll call Netflix or Amazon Prime. Get a budget for this.

A gimmick to add a human element to a documentary about this time in history. The_20Age_20Of_20Ascendance

One possible person. https://gerontology...ki/Martelle_Murphy#
Still looking though. Not finding much or her life story to flesh out the human side of the timeline. [doctorremulac3, Feb 19 2020]

The poster art would have a gal like this but with a collage of fantastic inventions behind her radiating out like a glory. https://en.wikipedi...e:Evelyn_Nesbit.jpg

Put this behind her but made up of dozens of stylized inventions. https://images.app....l/kr1TCR87xjkeSQny7

The only criticism, and it's a big one, is that this isn't halfbaked ...

Or I might just zero in on the title "The Age Of Ascendance" and use amalgamation of real people for characters.
