We've got the The Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus, two mythical
figures that we tell children visit in the middle of the night
and drop off presents or cash for discarded body parts. Saint
Nick will leave you a chunk of coal if you're naughty so
an incentive program going on here.
suggest that it's time for another mythical character to
gullible children into doing better in school. The Report Card
This little sucker can be nice or not so nice. The Report Card
Pixie reads the report card that was left under the pillow
leaves money or candy to good students but is not so nice to
those who get "Needs Improvement" or below Cs.
What punishment can you tell the bad student the Pixie
out? Smothering with a pillow might be a bit much, so I'd
it a little less horrifying. Taking a favorite toy hostage until
grades improve perhaps? A picture of a beloved pet paper
clipped to the report card with a note? "Be a shame to see
anything happen to Patches."
I guess you could just have it leave a book about better
studying habits or something, depends on how fast you want
Report Card Pixie that visits for grades B and above.

||Start with the first one I guess, see if that works.
||I know the kids nowadays type "Haha" instead of LOL, but
that sounds sarcastic. I only type LOL if there is audible
laughter on my part. Now of course that includes that
huffing noise for a very slight laugh which should have its
own acronym. Made slight huffing noise "MSHN" again sounds
sarcastic. Half guffaw? HG? LOL is a bit of an exaggeration.
Spelling the sound "HMF" sounds too much like a
||This is horrible. Let's implement it immediately.
||Are you seriously suggesting embarking on a project that will inflict untold psychological trauma on huge numbers of vulnerable youngsters, turning them into bitter, distrustful, paranoid msanthropes ?

||So when doing good, you should always get a return? I my world doing proper good usually costs.

||JAM - just amused, mildly
SOL - smiling out loud
CABAT - chuckling a bit at that
||I always called that sound you make when you read something
funny and sort of do that huffing thing a "snarf". I use it with
friends but don't know if it would catch on.
||"Snarf" might already be taken, as a sound for greedy eating, and
also as a slightly obscure cat reference.
||Google links it to a particular character in "thundercats" but, years
ago, before "thundercats" were drawn or thought of, an
acquaintance of mine with a phobia of cats used to call them
"snarfbeasts". No, not [8th], a different acquaintance with a
different phobia of ... snarfbeasts.
||We wish to point out that we do not have a phobia of cats. We do
not fear cats; we do not avoid cats.
||We just hate, loathe and detest the creatures.
