Having worked at a place for some time, Voice found himself with a surfeit of time and a shortage of money, so he thought he would post this idea in recognition of the occasion and a translucent cry for help.
This all purpose LLM driven generic business would worth thusly: You enter your approximate
age, skills, location and capital and it selects several minibusinesses you could perform. For example tutoring art students, selling plasma, buying soda and selling it to nearby tourists, and performing auto detailing services. It would make all the appropriate business forms from a template and serve your phone an app which would give you step-by-step instructions as to what you need to do for each business. When you're ready to start work you turn it on and just start following instructions. For example:
Step 1: find someone who needs an art tutor.
Substep 1: Using the pens and paper on hand, draw an ad for an art tutor.
Substep 2: Travel to your local print shop. (1 euro loss for tram fee) CARRY: drawn ad, 8 Euros cash, 1 thumbtack
Substep 3: get your ad printed.
Substep 3: Travel to Local College (2 Euro loss for tram fee) CARRY: printed ad, 7 Euros cash, 1 thumbtack
Substep 4: Find bulletin board and pin up printed ad with thumbtack
And so on. It's like Manna from the dystopian story, but it works for you.
When you want to work on a different "company" you just switch over in the app and you'll get a different task. When you make money you enter it into the app and it tracks it for you with optional credit card acceptance and financial account handling.

Sounds good. Do you have to decide what your business is, or does the app decide for you? Perhaps it should keep it secret, and just tell you only the next task. |

It's an LLM, so that makes it smart enough to offer several recommendations and let you pick and/or add your own. I don't think you'll do as well if you don't know what you're trying to do but in return for a pastry I'll add the feature, with an "evil overlord" personality option. For two pastries I'll add these personalities: Minion reading a list, bored accountant, boss who is in awe of you, sleepy and annoyed sister, fatherly advice, high school teacher, high school teacher who is attracted to you, assistant, assistant who is attracted to you. |

Machine takeober? At some point it seems that who is working for who becomes moot. The successful synthesized human/machine society will be nothing like the dystopian tales we read. To the citizens it will be ordinary, pedestrian, and tolerable. Not what we want but what we can live with. |

Here's hoping you can reach the stage where "free" is no longer just a euphemism. |

I experimentally tried something similar a few months ago. It suggested I do what I'm already doing and also that I should be in academia, which I could've guessed it would. It didn't come up with anything useful or original. |

You lookin for work buddy? |

Indeed, I could think of little that would calm my blackened soul more than an exchange of time for money. Maybe even time and labor. |

Did you mean 'work' thusly? |

Might wanna be a little wary of jobs advertising that though. Hiring: Calm your blackened soul by joining our team. |
