"Suggestions Box" for hb taglines

Oddly, not a Thing.
  [vote for,

A category for suggestions for taglines, where new taglines can be posted, voted on, possibly be accepted by She Who Must Be Obeyed, and then deleted.

We would like to suggest "Antisocial Media" as a tagline, despite extensive Prior Art, both on the HB and elsewhere.

The glory days of youth... https://web.archive...alfbakery_20Tagline
When men were men, and women were women, and taglines had a list [RayfordSteele, Dec 19 2017]

This would be entertaining to go through. As it is, taglines are these ethereal, mysterious things that come and go. It would be nice to be able to look back and LL at them.

There used to be an idea here "Non-lame taglines..." which was the suggestion box.
hippo, Dec 19 2017

I'm pretty sure there is a [marked-for-tagline] thing that already exists and counts as a user making a suggestion. I've always assumed that there was a search-script that could use those markings to pull all the different suggestions out of the HB database system.

My suggestion, which I'm always pleased to see when it comes up as the tagline, was "carpe demi"

I did a few. One I remember was veni vidi teenie weenie yellow polka dot bikini

Back in the days when the HB ran on a coal-powered Babbage engine with 1K of Rabid Abscess Memory, there was a Halfbakery Taglines idea. Then there wasn't. Then there was "Non-lame Halfbakery Tagline", then there wasn't again.

Is it likely to fall on a mime ?

If not, we are happy to supply a mime at our own expense.

I am also happy to supply a mime - and drinks on the house - at [8th]'s expense.

I'm always tickled when I see a tagline I suggested on the screen.
It's a warm fuzzy feeling.

Is there any record of those things? I've had people tag some dumb stuff I've said but I don't know if I've ever had the honor of being up there.
doctorremulac3, Dec 19 2017

Yes, tickled is a warm fuzzy feeling, like cracking open the door of the cupboard housing the bag the box came in.

       ...but different

I miss the old taglines (lame and non-lame alike) was looking for them to add one that just came to mind that I thought might fit in.

There used to be a tagline that said, "ivnin meets neto" and it took me years to figure out what it meant.

Come back in a few years.

       Potential taglines:

"This space intentionally left blank" (I love seeing this phrase, it's just so self- defeating)
"Better than half a loaf"
"What, you again?"
"Abandon hope ye who enter here”
"This too shall pass"
"My other website has the bandwidth of a truck"
"It was like that when I arrived"

       "Too smart by half"
