loop cork

cork with a loop in it
  [vote for,

It seems that with the synthetic corks, someone would have incorporated a nylon loop into the top of the cork so that it could be extracted with stout-handled Wooden spoon or other object.

The only reason to have corks at all is to permit the dog and pony show of opening the bottle.

Just put a screw cap on it.

They're doing that more and more with decent wines anyway.

I don't actually like synthetic corks or screwtops (yes, I know they are better for the wine).

That said, I think this is a brilliant idea [+]

It is very difficult to impress a date with a screw top.

       Depends what it's on, Gal
