My first idea (linked) seemed to be quite a hit...in fact, my best idea (croissant-wise). This prompted me to come up with a revised version of the concept that really does take the proverbial buscuit. Firstly the new improved marbLED should be translucent for the new concept to be most effective...also, this can only really be made with the bigger marbles.

You may want to read (and rate) the original concept before reading on.

Right...Insted of just a generic one-color LED built into the marble, it should be assembled with 3 primary-colored LED's (red, yellow, and blue) that illuminate harmoniously creating secondary colors (purple, green, and orange). Thus having a gradually color changing marble.

Beautiful...

Also, again, this concept could be applied to the feng shui pebblestones too

marbLED (original idea) marbLED

(did I type that correctly? It's, like, garbled) [half, Jan 18 2005]

(that'd be red, green, blue LED's, which - happily for you - are available in a single package "RGB" LED)

Your marble idea's been 'round a while, not sure this is different enough to warrant its own space. I do like the idea of the color changing pebbles...flat, smooth, with a nice etched or slightly sandblasted surface, a pile of them, each one slowly, randomly changing color

I love the idea, and I hate to be a pessimistic idea reaper, but there is a thing I've seen called blimps (or something along those lines) which are basicly feng shui pebble with slow colour changing. I'll post a link if I can find one.

I don't think that they are capable of being cahnged into marble though, so I still like your idea.
