As a student, the internet is my biggest distraction (IE. right now). Imagine a browser plugin that publishes your surfing history live on twitter. This gives one a feeling that he has someone watching over his shoulder, even when there is none (at least not right now). at the end of a week, a script can compile a graph of how much time was spent on different sites. this can help realize how much of your life is spent watching other people's "lives" on Facebook.

This is a part of my "make your slightly-shameful activities public" self-help concept.

BTW, "google history" has a monthly graph of your search activity if logged in, and it is interesting and sometimes horrifying to watch.
