In conjunction with the frequency of a normal car horn, project high frequency sounds inaudible to the human ear (such as those used in dog whistles), but deafening to wildlife or stray pets commonly hit by cars.
In theory I suppose this would scare them away (although some animals might choose
to stare at you coming towards them if your headlights are on).

Incredibly baked. There are a number of vendors who will sell you little "whistles" to mount on your front bumper, which produce just such sounds to scare deer away from the road. |

It's also fun if the slow driver in front of you has a dog in the car. |

This would be very useful if it included an embodiment to activate only the high frequency horn. When I back my car out of the driveway in the morning, I am always worried that I will run over one of the cats or the dog. It would be nice to be able to honk, scaring away the pets, without disturbing the neighbors -- well, without disturbing the human neighbors anyway. [+] |
