Beeping zipper

Trouser "fly-is-down" alert system

Ever get tired of seeing the fat guy strolling around the office with his dork-gate hanging open? Too much of an effort to tell the lumbering idiot that his open fly is creeping out the whole office population?

How about a micro-miniature beeper that is built into the trouser zipper tab? a contact point at the top of the zipper would create a bypass loop to prevent activation when the fly is completely fastened. If fly remains in the down position for more than about 5 minutes, the audible alarm would sound and alert the goofball that his dong-door is ajar. As an added precaution, this would only activate if the snap/button above the zipper was fastened. We wouldn't want 100 pairs of pants sounding off in the department store or in the laundry, etc...

I'd prefer one that sounds when the zipper is down- FloridaManatee http://www.halfbake...ea/Musical_20Zipper

Vibrating zipper? That could cause even more embarrasment.

okay... the noise is annoying... vibration might make the problem worse (for the viewer)....hmmm... how about if it slowly heated the entire zipper area until the discomfort caused the wearer to zip up. of course the tab would have to remain heat resistant to prevent more noise as it was grabbed...

Yeah this could be a real lifesaver, or at least job /face/ partner saver for those of us with a wee bit of disdain for underwear!

A small wire connected to pincers in the waist? A subtle pinch makes no noise (unless you yelp).

So, a blind guy waiting to cross an intersection should NOT be wearing these...
