Perhaps we should correct that to 'Formerly Live.'

Next up, internet addicts and the people who love them...

This is a terrible idea from an ethical standpoint, but I would watch it- but only if the chases were LIVE. If they were un-live, I'd have to say this idea were half-baked on the Fox Network in America. Programmed alongside "When Squirrels Go Bad" and other such shows. Neutral.

I'd be worried that this would encourage car criminals to try for their "five minutes of fame" and lead to an actual increase in high speed pursuits.

Actually, this could be kind of cool... kind of reminds me of "ameture night" at the race track. Now those were some good crashes! And hey, would they blow up the cars too??

Is this why they suddenly have cameras on the lightpoles of every intersection in town here?
Mr Burns, Jul 11 2002

Yeah, I noticed those cameras and also saw a crack dealer race by with a Marlboro logo on the top of his car.
spartanica, Jul 12 2002

Umm, I think those are for nailing red-light runners. It's a new trend across the US/world.
polartomato, Jul 12 2002

I know what they're for, but... where *does* all that footage go?

The ones in my city also have a freaking RADAR on them so they know to turn on when you're coming... and blast you with a speeding ticket as well as a ticket for running the light
Mr Burns, Jul 12 2002

I like to think that alien spaceships are downloading the footage for their top-rated show, "Red Light Runners a-Go-Go!"

...all the makings of a really bad show..

Coming soon to a FOX network near you!
