Inspired by the Remote Control Finder idea recently posted, I thought to myself where it would make the most sense to place one.
It's always in front of you. A sliding panel (glass?) could be used to cover it up when the entire surface is needed. The transmitting LED's can be mounted on the far
edge, making aiming the remote a snap.
Available in several sizes and woodgrains.

||Great. Now I've lost the coffee table *again*. Oh look, it's behind the couch cushion. No, wait, that's the stereo coffee table...
||Shoot. I just read the remote finder and had the same idea. Rats rats rats. Ah well, I can't in good conscience fishbone an idea that I also came up with. This thing is just common sense. (+)
||Why would I want to lean forward to the coffee table, when I could have a sofa remote? One built into each arm, maybe.
||a coffee table remote would make it much harder to channel surf, as opposed to a sofa remote, so that has to be a good thing.
||Maybe the remote panel slides out from the coffee table like a cd drawer to make it easier to surf from the couch.
||Just hit the thing with your toes.
