Diagonal Speed Bumps

More than a challenge

There's a problem with speed bumps to slow down traffic on country roads: most yahoos take 'em as a challenge rather than an obstacle. Now anyone who's taken a dip or bump at an angle knows that unless you approach them *very* slowly you're in for a case of major whiplash. So: diagonal speed bumps. About 45 degrees to the direction of traffic ought to do the trick.

Into the scrap metal collecting ditch on left / right (depending on your rules) . Survival of the fittest.
