After recently visiting a cave with loads of stalagmites/ tites and monoliths, I reckon that anyone with a lot of time on their hands, a desperate need for a room-sized freezer and a love of caves could create an room-sized freezer cavern, complete with stalagmites, stalagtites and monoliths. You could
even let them grow over time with small amounts of water and one day wedge a tub of icecream in between a stalagmite and a stalagtite, then let them increase into a monolith, the tub of icecream incased by ice, with the surreal look that it's always been there (maybe you could deem it as art...).
The ice would be obviously controlled by taps, so there would be not many 'unplanned' stalagmites, etc.
I guess you could make a viewing window, so that you can admire it without getting chilly...

(?) The unplanned version, with viewing windows...

Walk-in freezers are commonplace in the commercial world. Never seen one with stalagmites and stalactites, tho - croissant. |

Sorry, but it's not an especially original idea, apart from the artistic angle which I've not heard of 'afore. |

I have seen some blast freezers that had structures like this from being periodically slightly defrosted and then rinsed out (I think, didn't camp out in it for months to find out). |

When I was in the Navy, they had certain pipes that pumped saltwater around. The valves on these had a tendency to crap out though, and it would be pretty common to find a slow drip that had produced a Salt stalactite... We called them saltsickles. |
