Glare-Be-Gone brake lights

Uses very simple ambient light sensors

Very simple idea, really. The premise is that most auto accidents happen in the morning hours and evening hours when the sun is low in the sky creating dangerous eye-level glare, when everyone's got their flip-down visors lowered and/or sunglasses on. With that much glare, visibility is all but shot and you can't see brake lights ahead of you very well, increasing the chances of a rear-end collision.

So, I propose a set of super duper EXTRA bright brake light bulbs, brighter than traffic laws might normally allow for use on public roadways, that activate instead of your normal brake lights if two conditions are met: 1) it is a time of day when the sun happens to be low in the sky and 2) ambient light sensors confirm the sun is indeed shining quite brightly at a low angle at the front of your vehicle.

glare be gone is not a realistic description either, this idea is more like glare override Bubbling_20Turn_20Signals

Those of us who already are unable to drive at night without being blinded would like to point out that this idea reduces our limited driving window even further.

Additionally, car:indicator:fluid was working fine for a category choice before you got to the fluid part, but it all fell apart there like a burning flare of brake lights re-entering the atmosphere.

But since you brought the topic up, link.

That's why I specified two conditions would have to be met for these lights to activate, and at night after the sun has set would be outside of both those parameters.

Unfortunately my glare sensitivity window begins in the conditions you've specified. I can function just fine, but the personal light show has begun then. I used to enjoy driving at night, but I don't do that any more.
