This is a small DVR shaped like one of those torches that fits under a pistol or rifle rails.

This DVR will have an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a light reflectance sensor, a microphone as well as a camera. (Optional GPS, or gun safety switch position detection)

Normally, carrying the device will not do anything. However it will start buffering a few minutes of sound and accero/gyro data, on detection of elevated microphone sound.

It starts fully recording all the sensors, if it detects any events that indicates that the user has pulled the gun/rifle out of the holster/sling, and is about to engage a threat.

This can be by detecting loss of light from reflectance sensor(out of holster), or by a sharp motion of the accelerometer(pushed over... or pointing rifle at target), or sound of gunshots (getting shot at).

It also has a button to start recording anyway, for the occasional videos at the range that you may want to stick on facebook.

This product will be useful in situation like home invasion, or proving that you acted in self defence.

The extra sensors will help show extra information such as 'gun angle' via gyroscope. Number of shots via Accelerometer. Location via GPS. When safety disengaged by switch sensor. etc...
