You've likely seen seen ribbon dancing.

Light emitting ribbon dancing ribbons actually are not at a rapid search online.

Who are you and what have you done with the real [beanangel]?

[+] but you need light pipes to avoid the pixel effect.

//Light emitting ribbon dancing ribbons actually are not at a rapid search online.// It was, but fewer are probably, isn't it?

I have in fact seen seen ribbon dancing.

Well, you wouldn't see unseen ribbon dancing.

Ribbons interact with air to form graceful shapes. What provision in your (almost) idea would act similarly? Pressure sensors along the array?

Moving LED arrays that form designs are well known. Would this be incorporated?

Cool. The ribbons themselves could act as fiber-optic conduits with color changing LED's in the handles.

I predict that Cirque du Soleil will be swiping this idea right quick-like.

[Beany] works for Cirque du Soleil? Pass it on...

And unfortunately you can't un-see ribbon dancing.
