What do you get when you cross Chat Roulette
(http://www.chatroulette.com) with the power of
Facebook? A lot of interesting conversations.
I think it would be really interesting if someone created
a
Facebook app that randomly connects mutual friends
(that
aren't direct friends). Aside
from the random gossip that
might happen around that connecting friend, the
conversations could be interesting.
Think about everytime you're on an airplane, or waiting
in
line, and find out that the person next to you knows
someone you do. You might be able to achieve that with
Chat Roulette for Facebook

This could solve the problem Chatroulette (so I've heard) ran
into where the lowest common denominator tends to drive
out those interested in more serious conversation. More
elegant than penis-recognition software. [+] I mean, you
probably wouldn't expect mutual displays of genitalia within
seconds of first meeting someone if they were a friend of a
friend. Or would you? Kids today, I just don't ... <wanders
off, muttering> |

<bitter>Okay, if you're like me, you have a few facebook
friends that you actually hate. There'll be a chance of you
winding up with one of their douchebag friends.</bitter> |

That could actually work out really well. If you hate your "friends" and their "friends" hate them, on the principle of my enemy's enemy is my friend, you could get on really well with them while planning some kind of pincer movement strategy to gaslight them or hire a contract killer. |

[DrWorm] Has a point... Both parties should be signed up to the deal, and the unfriendship should be temporary with an option to make more permanent if you actually get on |
