Many people enjoy real cooked-in-the-bird stuffing, but it’s so much trouble and expense to buy and roast a whole turkey. Isn’t there an easier way? There is now!

Introducing the Reusable Turkey. Simply fill your Reusable Turkey with stuffing, zip it up and pop it in the oven. In just one hour your house is enveloped in the mouth-watering aroma of real stuffing. Take it out of the oven, unzip and enjoy!

       What's it made of?

Sewn together Reusable Potato Jackets that never sold.

[snarf] I’m going to have to do some research to find the right material, but I think some sort of heavy, heat resistant fabric, possibly coated with Teflon for easy cleanup will do the trick.

[World] That’s a good idea. I lost my life savings on the potato jacket fiasco. It would be great if I could recoup something.

Make sure it's a turkey-flavored heavy, heat resistant fabric, possibly coated with Teflon, for what we like to call mad flava.
snarfyguy, Mar 19 2003

An excellent point [snarf]. It will be a slightly-absorbent, heavy, heat-resistant fabric, so you can soak it in turkey broth before stuffing it. In the oven is will slowly impart the mad flava to the stuffing. It will also mimic the absorptive properties of a real turkey, so the stuffing comes out with just the right level of moisture.

[bliss] I’ll send you a prototype as soon as it’s ready for beta testing.

Unfortunately, you thought of the pre-sectioned grapefruit first, but you might want to eat it out of one of my reusable grapefruit rinds.

If you're trying to replicate the flavour, stuffing+turkey broth sealed in foil. If you're after a bird look-alike, try a rubber chicken but in the microwave rather than a traditional oven.

It might be nice to see this baked, but I prefer my turkey to be spit-roasted.

tsk tsk. I missed whatever started this, but maybe we can bury the hatchet and move on...

She took hers down [bliss]. Your move and then we can have a group hug. Yuck, did I say that or just think it?

My girlfriend would love this, she has often said she's love to just eat some stuffing, but I can never be bothered doing the whole roast thing... (+)

Isn't there a widespread problem with the stuffing inside of a turkey not being cooked enough and causing serious illness?

If your product will eliminate this you may have a crescent for the positive health implications.
ato_de, Mar 21 2003

stuffing can be cooked without it being stuffed into anything. just stuff the toikey with a potato and an onion in the other end.

you are quite right [a_toad] but I don't recall the details and to be honest, at this point in time, I don't give a rats ass.

Mmmm.. sounds like Christmas dinner at my Grandmum's house... She can't cook therefore the turkey tastes like its been reused. I like the idea of quick, easy zip-up stuffing. Croissant anyone?
