Just did my laundry and wanted to give the washer and dryer an appreciative slap on the bum. Actually, ever since the proliferation of electric labour saving devices bum slapping has steadily decreased as bum exposure has increased with women's liberation from domestic slavery. It's time to give the liberating machines a little recognition with adhesive bums and boobies to be appreciatively pinched and slapped.

Not. Even. Once. http://www.nbcnews....-toaster-8C11375653
It's a slippery slope, [rcarty]. [UnaBubba, Jan 01 2014]

As long as we draw the line at foreplay.

How anatomically correct are we talking here?
doctorremulac3, Jan 01 2014

Well considering anatomically correct would mean a large range of different sizes and shapes, then I'd say really not very anatomically correct at all to completely nonexisting altogether.

Would this increase or decrease the bottom line at the local laundromat ? The news trucks and the sheriff would show up for a day or two, but long term would it attract people to do laundry?

I'm sure there is some dialectic dimension to the fact that all domestic appliances are considered female.
MaxwellBuchanan, Jan 01 2014

But gluing male parts to your appliances would be weird.
doctorremulac3, Jan 01 2014

       <link> for you, [rcarty].
UnaBubba, Jan 01 2014

Thanks, although I see no reason not to combine penis and toaster, I see no reason to either. I'll likely not be doing that.

The dialectical dimension of the toaster has already been addressed in the idea I already posted about the conflict between light and dark toast. The toaster dial being central to the dialectic conflict. One ideal versus another ideal manifesting materially in toast.

//But gluing male parts to your appliances would be weird.

I think that can be achieved, without glue even, to the ice box part of the refrigerator, according to popular myth.

       Please, no photographs.

//I'm sure there is some dialectic dimension to the fact that all domestic appliances are considered female.//

Except that all DIY equipment is considered male. Particularly the electric drill and screw-driver.

It seems to me that all equipment which doing jobs previously done by hand are considered the gender of that which traditionally or predominantly performed the task.
This may have some utility - for example as ships are anthropologically female we could infer that women must be better at floating.

Of course there is the conflicting influence of con~cave/vexity c.f. plugs and sockets.

That type of intimate congress with a major appliance, while not illegal per se, is certainly frowned upon in most circles.
doctorremulac3, Jan 01 2014

In doc's defence, he didn't actually say "But gluing (your own) male parts to your appliances would be weird."

And, sort of done, seen loads of 3D mouse mats with your favourite game/anime character (female) with silicon. Handy for those in Akihabara who will never quite get to interact with a female.

       See linky, if you must.
not_morrison_rm, Jan 02 2014

Does this bum make my fridge look big?...

// ships are anthropologically female //

       Sp: 'anthropomorphically'
Alterother, Jan 02 2014

       //anthropomorphically//

Yeah, well... that's the word I intended, but the way I typed it looked wrong. It was late so I just chose one from the list of suggestions. But it turns out not to be that bad a replacement anyway.
Loris, Jan 02 2014

No need to defend yourself. I seek only to pedantate.

       Frabba be with you.

Re: link to the nbc news article about people calling out fire-fighters to remove 'appendages' from items and etc.

What if there is an increase in the erotic compulsion to have people burn things off your todger?
Ling, Jan 03 2014

//an increase in the erotic compulsion to have people burn things off your todger?

You'd have less competition? Encourage all the men you know to try it.
not_morrison_rm, Jan 03 2014

There was a Frank Zappa song about this.
Cuit_au_Four, Jan 03 2014

       "pedantate"?

I do not think that non-word means what you think it does not mean.
UnaBubba, Jan 03 2014

I'm afraid that folks who use the Laundry Mat will think they are putting quarters in for some other reason...
xandram, Jan 03 2014

// I do not think that non-word means what you think it does not mean. //

Any word I invent means exactly what I think it means.
Alterother, Jan 03 2014

Kinda what I meant, [Alter]... err, as you were.
