Christopher Reeve was the man of steel, but it was sepsis from a bed sore which ultimately proved stronger than him.

Having met nurses the size of hobbits who have to turn superman themselves, on schedule, or face this common problem, it seems a better solution is in order.

The idea is a sling, much like a hammock or the hand-drying towel which advances automatically in washroom facilities.

The patient will be slightly elevated and rotated automatically by turns, possibly using pressure sensitive monitors now becoming widespread.
