Just after the last diner departed after the breakfast rush, Roland scurried across the dining room, slipped the crumb trays out of the toasters, poured the crumbs into a bag concealed within his baggy trousers, the opening cleverly disguised as an extra pocket, and departed as unobtrusively as he had arrived.

Off to the nursing home, to clean up the crumbs after the morning tea there... quality crumbs, they were.

Then home, to repackage them all as "Sustainable Breadcrumbs" and sell them to organic supermarkets and "clean eating" stores, as a premium product.
