Contestants vie in some way (quizzes about the law? physical challenges? third-party investigation of moral fitness?) to gain the privilege of committing legal murder.

You know Putin would bribe the gameshow to win every time.

Funny image of people vying to be the winner. The worse the criminal is, the more intensity the contestants compete to win. A serial murderer-rapist being the equivalent of a new car on the Price is Right, and a one time murder a dining room set.

Maybe retitle it "Who Wants to be a Killer-on-air?"

There needs to be a booby prize as well that is equally enforced by law.... for every prisoner that is executed, one of those who have entered the competition to be an executioner must take home and house a violent convict for the remainder of his or her sentence. It's called: "Kill em or Keep em"
