Wine Glass Charm Bracelet

Really, really know which one is yours.

The latest trend at a party these days is for the hostess, upon your arrival, to hang a little charm on your wine glass so you can keep track of it for the evening.
However, once you're half in the bag, it's difficult to remember which charm belongs to you.
This difficulty would be eliminated by having the hostess give you a charm on your glass, plus a matching bracelet, cufflink or lapel pin you can use as a handy reference later on when things get a tad fuzzy.

Widely Baked. I don't think sticking them on the guests as well is much of an innovation. [DrCurry, Oct 04 2004, last modified Oct 05 2004]

I thought this was a wine glass hanging from your wrist by a little silver chain. +1 anyway though

Thanks, [Amos], not quite what I'm after though. More for identification purposes at a cocktail party. My wine glass charm matches my cufflink so I can double-check before I take a drink.

This would be too convenient for the date-rape pervert. After selecting his victim he has only to memorise the look of her bracelet and can immediately identify which glass to spike with drugs. It would also encourage people to part with their drinks, confident of finding their glass again, affording him the opportunity to ply his trade. Sorry but bone.

Very pessimistic, [dob]. A date rape pervert could just as easily put something in a drink, charmed or not, holding it or not, if they really set their mind to it.

That's true [lintkeeper2], but the advice given to women in order to minimize the risk of becoming such a victim is not to leave their drinks unattended. This seems to run counter to that advice. But at a party where the other guests are trusted, or when you are going home with your husband etc, the charm thing would be a good idea. I change my vote to neutral.

If you think your guests will get so blasted they won't remember which charm is theirs, you can always get two sets and put the matching ones on your guests.

But if they're that blasted, I doubt they will remember why they, or the wine glasses, are wearing charm bracelets.

There once was a pretty young lass
Who misplaced her party wine glass
But she showed no alarm
For she knew that her charm
Was the answer to this glass impasse!

Mine is the one without a charm bracelet.
