gesture image recognition

Smile at your phone, tug an earlobe, smirk. It only recognizes you when you do the gesture live.

Phones have face recognition to open them up. I read this does not work very well. A simple motion capture of the person smiling, smirking or perhaps giving an earlobe a tug could be the more complex live gesture that is recognized to open the phone.
