severed head loaf

Happy Halloween

  [vote for,

Around Halloween, the local deli counter at the supermarket places a bunch of severed plastic fingers around the cold cuts. It's kind of gross, but people are pretty good-humored about it and it makes the kids squeal.

I think it would be cool to take it a step further and make a bologna in the shape of a severed head. The rind could be skin-coloured, and the inside could be done in layers of different types of tasty cheese to represent bone and brain cross-sections.

Once an order was filled, the head would be placed back in the deli case. I would use a couple of bologna heads and slice them from different angles to determine the most horrible effect.

This could also be done with bologna forearms, pressed ham feet, etc.

Marvellous. Could give a whole new meaning to "half a dozen slices of tongue". [+]

Could it be a vegetarian severed head, as opposed to a vegetarian's severed head?

+ but why not use *head cheese*?

As in the song: "Darling cheese-head, you were yards too greasy" (see link)

I dunno, trauma may result in particularly weak children; forever implementing canibalism into the collective unconscious of the present day, and the realized dark future of tomorrow.
