make a building that will REALLY last the ages

However strong a building is it's not going to survive earth's crust subducting it. I propose a building not only practically indestructible but capable of moving along earth's surface very, very slowly counter to the movement of the crust. Maybe regular expansion and contraction from summer and winter could push it in one direction through the soil.

       Yes, but in 100 million years we're going to feel pretty stupid having built stairs and elevators into the building, when we've all evolved into small flying things.
