In 1998 one of my young employees began speaking in "chat" style. Since LOL and HAHAHA in Hebrew is written as KhKhKh, and since the Hebrew language is written without vowels, he would intersperse three choking sounds Kh Kh Kh every once in a while.

He would stop talking every now and then and stand with a frozen exaggerated smile on his face exposing all his frontal teeth, and continue. :-) That was a smiley.

The same thing is happening now with AI.
