Bioluminescent Dinoflagellate Christmas Ornaments

Not for gummy consumption
  [vote for,

Those dinoflagellates should be quite happy blinking away in water-filled Christmas ornaments that are only expected to be turned on in at night anyways. And my kids can have all sorts of fun examining them with their 200 x zoom lens toy recently purchased.

Bonus: no more untangling of wires.

way better than my original idea, since no bioengineering is required.

Your title is more fun, though.
