A spring loaded device that fits into a golf hole, a bit like a spring loaded see-saw. When the flag is removed from the hole, the trap is set. Then, when you've holed out, simply push the flag back in to spring the trap and send the ball shooting into the air to hand height, where it can be caught without
bending.
