Each idea and annotation should display, in addition to the date when it was originally written, the date when it was most recently edited (only if it has in fact been edited on a subsequent day).

For the vast majority of ideas and annotations, this will have no effect. And while the ability to go back and edit what you said is certainly valuable, things like the linked idea—as “amusing” as they are—shouldn't be allowed to happen.
