Under the guise of conducting audio experiments with
the
Martian atmosphere, the rover would roam about with
microphones while the lander played various things on
it's
loudspeakers.
Music from various pop artists, speeches, messages from
school children would all be played through these
speakers,
picked up by the microphones on the rover and broadcast
back to Earth.
Sound experiments have been proposed, but I'm not
finding
anything about putting on a Martian rock concert. You
could even have it live with the artist playing in a studio,
broadcasting the music and video to Mars, having the
speakers play the music, the mics pic it up and then
send the whole thing back to earth.

There must be a theremin, operated by the robot cutting head. Then it would be actually original music. |
