If you like 'minstrel' music - Black and White Minstrel Show
and
Al Jolson - but and uncomfortable with the racist
connotations
of blackface, you could reverse the image, ie use the film
negative, and boom - blackface becomes whiteface! (this may
be less effective for entire Al Jolson movies
as every white
character adopts blackface by default)
