The kit includes a bluetooth interface and necessary hardware for modding your Roomba.
A multiplatform software development toolkit allows you to get Roomba's status and issue realtime commands to it via your bluetooth enabled personal computer or portable computing device. The SDK includes a sample
application that shows you the Roomba's battery level, and lets you click arrows to turn and move the Roomba.

- serving snacks at a childrens' slumber party
- drawing a picture
- chasing pets
- emulating a pet
- finding land mines (only once)
- playing "tag"
- scaring away intruders
- performing arts (envision multiple Roombas spinning and moving in formation) |

Perhaps additional mods would be needed to achive some of these goals. But the Roomba is far more useful for such tasks than an rc car. The Roomba can detect the edges of objects, can prevent itself from falling down stairs. |
