Splashin' Fashions -- Fun Children's Novelty Swimwear

Like Underoos, only swimwear

Way back when, they had underwear that could make a kid look and feel like his favorite superhero. Why not apply this concept to children's SWIMWEAR? That way, little Katie or Karlos can pretend to be his or her favorite fantasy hero when at the pool or beach. Star-spangled Wonder Woman one-piece or spiffy Supergirl two-piece for the girls, and a sporty Superman, Batman, Spider-Man or Zorro number for the boys. And maybe, also have these splashy fashions in ADULT sizes, (just like they planned to do the Underoos in adult sizes) for us bigger "superheroes!"

Annotation:

Knee-high boots look really silly with red and blue swimwear, and tend to become weighted down when immersed in water.

Does the power girl costume come with built-in flotation devices?

[ping] bruce timm's power girl comes with built in floatation devices fit for a city, perhaps an island.

"NO CAPES!" <costume designer for the Incredibles>

Actually, like I said previously, I was thinking about something kinda-sorta along the lines of Underoos, only those were underwear and these Splashin' Fashions would be swimming attire. Like, a replica of Wonder Woman's costume, for example, for girls, while boys would get, let's say, blue boxer-brief swim shorts with a Superman insignia (Modestly cut enough to be age-appropriate, but contoured enough to make Junior feel like a superhero)

Wagster, for crying in Manhattan, the little mermaid was not a SUPERHERO!

       /...the little mermaid was not a SUPERHERO!/

I'm gonna have to disagree with that. She is the water beneath my fins. Viva la little mermaid! Viva la little mermaid!

[boysparks] I did realize that afterwards, but I am still sure that I have seen swim suits like the costumes, but not with capes of course. It's a cute idea. [see link for Power Rangers' suit]

       No capes! Too dangerous!
