The "Realistic Rooster" Alarm Clock is a stuffed rooster mounted on a *very* heavy base, that sits on your night-table. When it's time to get up, the rooster launches into pre-recorded "cock-a-doodle-doo"s until you reach over and grab it by the neck.
This doesn't finish the job though as that's
only the snooze function. To shut the damn thing completely off you have to sit or stand up (to get leverage) and wring its neck with both hands, at which time the rooster will give a dying "GAACK" and let you get on with your day.

Had a plastic rooster once, that crowed quite convincingly in the morning, but a simple hit on the head would shut it up. |

The two handed wringing is the perfect morning exertion, lets you begin the day with the right attitude. [+] |

Had a rooster once that decided to roost just outside my bedroom window. Worked a treat. |

[skin] missed it, but the "Realistic" refers to the way you shut it off. |

[miasere] It's extraordinary that with the wealth of gym-related, bed-related and alarm-clock-related ideas here, that no one's posted "Gym alarm clock bed". |
