Like many New Zealanders, I throw my towel over the door after a shower and when I next go to have another shower the dang towel is still wet. Is there no relief?!? Yes, there is, some relief, with Door Towel Drying Rack! (henceforth, DTDR). Door Towel Drying Rack is a plastic frame that clips onto the top of your door, lifting the towel outwards so mother nature (read: air) can flow around and dry your towel, naturally!

Normally wet towels cling to your door, harbouring bacteria and mould, preventing airflow and the Natural Drying Process (henceforth, NDP). The Door Towel Drying Rack changes this by fitting to the top of your door underneath the towel and lifting outwards.

Turn every door into a drying solution for healthy living and healthy lives! Door Towel Drying Rack. Yay!

Seems to be 2 alternatives here, depending on whether you want to shut your door or not. If you do, you can get a wide variety of racks to hang on it, clip on it, screw to it, etc [see link].

If you don't mind losing the use of your door, I assume you're after something fixed that will sit on the door and stick out on above it to keep the towel off the door when you throw it over the door. I used to have something like this that I put over my radiator which could be used over a door instead, but I can't find anything similar on the web. Or it would be very simple for anyone with any woodworking experience to make something that fits over the door and has two poles, one either side, for the towel to go over.

Still, I'm sure all the women on this site would be delighted to hear you don't leave your towel on the bathroom floor.

Thank you for your timely response. We have added you to our mailing list. Our quality New Zealand building code specifies that every door must allow drafts (of a towel width) so all doors in New Zealand can be closed with towels on them. We appreciate your comments. Yay!

What's wrong with a heated towel rack?

[Rereads idea and sees bit about towel being dried naturally]

What's wrong with lobbing it over the shower curtain's rod?

I'm starting to think I'm the only person in the world who uses a clean towel every time. Who wants to reuse a musty old towel that's been between your toes when you can have a nice, dry folded one? Mmmm....inhale the heady aroma of outdoor fresh!

You obviously have someone to do your laundry for you or are female, and own a surfeit of towels.

I'd like to add here that my surfeit of towels is colour co-ordinated.

No I'm not " ... " in any sense of the word. Sheesh. And I prefer my towels straight too.

the door could be made of towelling and then you just rub yourself down with the door
