these fine stainless steel knives and forks and spoons are designed for dieters.

think Uri Geller: you know how just at the end of his spoon-bending routine, the business end dangled like the head of a freshly strangled chicken? that’s right!

these utensils are forged in two pieces and this duo is uniquely joined at the throat by a strong metal thread. a range of cutlery designed to die(t) for and will make a classy addition to any meal.

with practice and by eating slowly, you can balance as many peas on your knife, I mean fork as you wish. also, a precise slice of steak can be carved by a firm hand if held at the correct angle as the knives are razor sharp. the tablespoon will bring only the most delicate and elegant quantity of soup to your mouth at any one time – overload it at your peril.

hence by eating slowly and carefully, we will most certainly consume less calories per meal. we will become slender and gracious diners although the rough diamonds among us will be marked by the patterns on their shirts.

When I am physically exhausted my hands will sometimes develop a slight tremor while attempting fine touch work.

I thought this would be silverware with motion-dampening enhancements.

[normzone] goes off to post new idea.........

       Next, piano wire chopsticks.

I have this terrible vision to erase from my mind: a chicken struggles and clucks a choked "Glughhsch" as two large thumbs press down harshly on its windpipe.

Farmer John, you really should see someone, you know.

I'm seeing many people, in the mirror.

Serving spoons with the same idea would also limit quantity of food on your plate.

This would be so cool for paint brushes.

[UB] No, it was the use of "strangled chicken" that gave me other associations than neck wringing.

       2 f - how exactly?

The dieters I've seen are already frustrated enough! Oh, but I do see that there is a highly profitable market in selling dieters new products that will frustrate them....

       do they vibrate?
benfrost, Apr 29 2005

       No, they parry and thrust.

Oops. Sorry po, that anno was meant for the tremorless tools idea. Big (+) though.

I understand that a part of the reason that people in Britain are becoming so overweight is that we wolf down our food too quickly - not giving our bodies time enough to recognise that we are full, so I can see how this would work well in reducing calories consumed.
Although I could imagine people might be likely to race each other through meals, I know I would - great idea anyway.

Only the British could come up with another idea to seperate the agile upper class from the shaky masses. Give me liberty or give me death!

       what are you talking about?

I'd like to see a speed-eating contest where all contestants had to use tremble cutlery.
wagster, Apr 30 2005

How about iron cutlery and a bowtie which is a powerfull magnet. You're gonna need that soup bib. It would build up your arms muscles though.
weedy, Apr 30 2005

+ I'd like to order some of these!!
