All natural!

Tired of the organic waste that builds up and clogs your drain? Philosophically opposed to harsh chemicals? Wish there was a natural way to remedy the problem?

Now there is! BUNGCO is proud to introduce Drain Maggots, the all natural way to remedy clogged drains. Just as fly maggots are increasingly used to gnaw away dead tissue from ulcers and wounds, these fiesty little grubs will gnaw thru your drain blockage while whistling a merry maggot tune. The Drain Maggot pack contains eggs from 3 species which covers the range of aerobic and acidic conditions found in sink sludge. The drain maggots will convert the sludge into maggot meat, then pupate into flies and depart.

Just pour a packet of Drain Maggots down the drain and let nature do the rest. The maggots will make their way to where they are needed most and go to work. No need for poisons or unsightly plumbers. Drain maggots are fully compatible with the Ecosink, another fine BUNGCO product.

Bathroom Cleaning Slugs http://www.anapsid.org/slugcleaner.html
Slugs can eat mold in a bathroom, so maybe they can eat rotting vegetable scum in your drain as well? [gastronaut, Oct 05 2004, last modified Oct 06 2004]

Chemicals never worked for my clogged drains, so I'll give the maggots a chance. Can you give a 24 hour guarantee? I usually can't shut down a sink or toilet for longer.

Will I have to worry about drain flies later or where else do they depart from? +

For this you get my croissant, even if my toilet needs anacondas instead.

Actually, this isn't that far-fetched as an idea. American Industrial Supply has a product called Tri-Bac® that is advertised to have "100 billion microrganisms per gallon" and states that it will remove just about any gunk from your drains in 5 days.

I have also seen the work that maggots can do in medicine and have been impressed with their handiwork. Go maggots! [+]
