Extreme Bowling

Gutter ball!

Watching international ten pin bowling on TV today, I've noticed that it's a bit repetitive.

I'd like a version which added a new dimension to this skilful sport. As they score strike after strike in lane seven, add the family from hell in lane eight.

As the crème de la crème send another bullet down their lane, battle with dist they would mentally ractions from their neighbours, such as gutter balls, arguments, loud whooping noises, shouts for chicken-in-a-basket, and the occasional ball which is so bad that it bounces right over the gutter into lane seven itself.

I agree that bowling should somehow get harder in each consecutive frame. Perhaps the "add one family member to the family from hell in the next lane every frame" could be the ticket.

By the way, rhyming "Homer" with "homer"? Mwa *kiss*.

Is it as boring as darts?

Make it as fun as darts and nature show hosts

"And maybe over here are some happy little pins... beside our happy little sand trap, not too much detail, don't want to overwork it... and our happy little bowler man with the ball in his groin. We should give his face an element of surprise... we'll need to dip into our lavender, and mix up a deep purple"

I'm surprized to see that all of you have left out the people on the side of the bowlers opposite the family from hell... the incredibly drunk bowlers. These folks have already had far to much to drink upon arrival and continue to drink at the alley. They even go as far as to bother the pro bowlers for autographs as they step up to bowl and spill beer all over their bowling shoes. Some of them cheer for the pros and the others taunt loudly and also occasionally toss their ball down the wrong lane.

I thought I already did that, [po]. Oh dear, it's turning into a long week... [notOriginal] I love the tell tale BOOM sound from drunk bowlers when they forget to let go of the ball, and actually throw the thing half way down the isle. Bad bowling is much more fun than people who know what they're doing!

Some of the pins, say, one in a hundred, should be fitted with Weeble technology; the only way to get it down would be to knock it right out of the lane. We would need to adjust the pinsetting machine to recognise such pins, though, and not sweep them off after Ball 1.

How about they have to use a house ball... and the lanes are maintained poorly... and the people in adjacent lanes are always encroaching.
